The third NBA player to sign a lifetime contract with Nike is now Kevin Durant. LeBron James and Michael Jordan are the other NBA players with lifetime contracts with Nike. Kevin Durant said, “When I first signed with Nike, I couldn't have dreamed of how far we'd go in this partnership. We've done amazing work creatively and philanthropically.” As a rookie in the NBA in 2007, Durant initially inked an endorsement agreement with Nike. Since then, his relationship with the business has expanded to include his dedication to philanthropy, which includes grassroots basketball through his Kevin Durant Charity Foundation.
Lifetime agreements are valid for as long as the persons involved are alive.
Kevin said, “We've done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We've traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I'm excited for the future and honored to be in a rare company with this deal.” Currently, Durant is participating in the NBA playoffs. He just put on an outstanding effort in game 5 against the Los Angeles Clippers to secure the Suns' 4-1 series victory. In total, Durant had 31 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Devin Booker, who ended with 47 points, eight rebounds, and 10 assists, was the game's top player.

We look forward to continuing to serve the next generation of athletes together.” The lifetime agreement will continue to cover shoes and other clothing, as well as other charitable and community initiatives that support grassroots basketball.
