Thanks to a recent social media upload, Chhattisgarh's health minister, TS Singh Deo, is receiving praise online. To the amazement and surprise of his social media fans, it shows the 70-year-old Congress chairman skydiving in Australia. Mr. Deo, who is also the nominal Maharaja of Surguja, is shown grinning during the dive with an experienced teacher by his side.
The minister uploaded a video of him wearing the appropriate dive-specific gear. The video clip begins with an unfazed Mr. Deo being tethered to his instructor and the parachute just before the dive.
We catch a glimpse of the minister skydiving as well, and Mr. Deo frequently turns to smile and nod at the cameras. Mr. Deo is heard praising the teacher and saying that he was already prepared for an encore after landing safely.
There were no limits to the sky's reach, Mr. Deo wrote in a post sharing the video. “There were no bounds to the sky's reach. Never! I had the incredible opportunity to go skydiving in Australia, and it was truly an extraordinary adventure. It was an exhilarating and immensely enjoyable experience,” he wrote.
