May 30th, 2023: World’s largest T-shirt is here, you will be surprised to know what it is made up of. What was it used for?
Oversized T-shirts are now trending all over the world but have you ever wondered how much oversized a T-shirt can be?
This T-shirt is bigger than a rugby pitch, according to Guinness World Records! It was developed by Asociatia 11even, Kaufland Romania, and Federatia Romana to promote recycling and is made completely of recycled materials.
The whole t-shirt, which is the size of a rugby pitch, was made from recycled materials. More than 3,00,000 recycled plastic bottles were used to create the artistic piece.
The t-shirt measures 73.48 m (241.08 feet) in width and 108.96 m (357.48 feet) in length.
Following the record strategy, the t-shirt was divided into 10,000 separate pieces of apparel for less privileged children.

A tricolour belt that is also featured on the official jersey of the Romanian rugby team serves as the design's reinterpretation of the national flag of that country. In order to encourage people in Romania to do more than just recycle, Asociatia 11even came up with the concept to beat the record as an element of a recycling campaign.
The company previously set the global record for the biggest human image of a region or country. The firm asked for the assistance of the neighbourhood grocery store Kaufland Romania, which helped in collecting more than twice as many plastic bottles as were required to make the T-shirt. This supermarket also sells regular-sized T-shirts with the same pattern.
Speaking about unfolding the T-shirt, the records website said that more than 120 rugby club volunteers from Bucharest came to assist lay the T-shirt down on the pitch of Arcul de Triumf National Rugby Stadium on the day of the event.
