Rishabh Pant, the wicket keeper and batsman for India, was harmed in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway close to Roorkee on Friday while returning home, according to Haridwar Police. The cricketer is said to have "fallen asleep at the wheel" and caused the accident. (source: TOI)
There were pictures and videos from the accident site which got picked up by the CCTV. The clip showed that the vehicle collided with the road divider at a super high speed and caught on fire thereafter.
Even though his condition is stable at the moment, he reportedly suffered serious injuries on various body parts, the pictures that came from the hospital showed a heavily bruised back and a bandaged forehead.
Pant was driving the car by himself when it collided with a road divider. He was the only one in the car during the collision.
Sushil Mann, who saved Rishabh Pant's life, will be honoured by the Uttarakhand government on Republic Day, on January 26. Rishabh Pant was born in Roorkee in the State of Uttarakhand.
