Three women and five men Agniveers will also be a part of the contingent which is scheduled to take place on Kartavya Path. Sub Lieutenant Valli Meena S will also be one of the three platoon commanders of the naval contingent as an officer.

Lt Amrith pursued Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from BMS College of Engineering in Karnataka and was a part of the National Cadet Corps’ for Republic Day team in 2008 and has since been dreaming of being an important part of the marching contingents of either one of the three service-day celebrations that take place in New Delhi.
Originally from Mangalore, she was recruited into the Indian Navy in 2016 and has since been working as an important naval facility member in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, right after she completed her training in 2017.
Last month, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar mentioned the importance of opening all of the Navy branches for women from 2023. As for Lt Amrith, her father also wanted to become a part of the armed forces but could not.
Therefore, her inspiration of joining the armed forces comes from my parents as well, and she is extremely proud to be a part of the Navy and will continue to serve for the same with full zeal and dedication.
As a woman, Lt Amrith accepts that she has become only stronger, both physically and emotionally, by becoming a more self driven woman after joining the army.
